Power Of Prayer

Do you struggle with your relationship with the Lord being up and down? One season of your life being extermely on fire for the Lord, and the next it just being a struggle to just get out of bed to spend time with Him? Well so am I, I'm ready for my life to be spirit lead, and to daily give Christ my concerns and fears. How do we attempt this? How do we get to a point in our lives where Christ is first above all these, like Scripture says. I believe their's a fork in the road, we have to choose who we want to become, do we want to live a medioker life and live for the world or do we want to live a divine life in Christ?
I truly believe it starts by prayer, (Colossians 4:2) by praying daily and being honest with Him. Admitting that you don't desire Him like you should, and you fail by putting friends, family, work, busy life before Him! Honesty, is the best medicine. I used to think growing up that God has selective hearing, that I didn't want to overwhelm Him by all my issues. That is a lie from the enemy, God makes it clear that He desires for us to pray to Him and share everything (1 Thessalonians 5:17, Philippians 4:6-7, Colossians 4:2, Psalms 145:18) those are just acouple of verses that show God understands the importance of prayer. God already knows our issues, He already knows what we're going through but He also understands the importance for us humans to share everything we're feeling and going through. God desires to show His love for us and His mighty power by answering our prayers. Imagine dying for a friend and loving them that much, but they think you don't want to hear their problems? Sounds kinda crazy right? If you have a concern in your relationship, marriage, or struggle with feeling loved, desire a stronger relationship with Him, have anxiety issues, have an eating disorder, or struggle with laziness, the list can go on and on. Make your requests known to God and I promise you will see God move. God desires to answer your prayers in His timing (Matthew 7:7-8)
Ladies, if you are ever desire to be married, in a relationship where you plan on marrying the man, or are married. I strongly encourage you to read The Power of a Praying Wife, by Stornie Omartian. This book has changed my life, my relationship with my boyfriend, and my relationship with my Heavenly Father has grown so much, it's such a God thing. I also, encourage you to read Circle Makers by Mark Batterson, that book will forever change your perspective of prayer. Prayer is such a sacred gift, don't take it for granted!
